In Loving Memory of Henriette Kay (Ford) Brenner
May 29, 1950 – November 15, 2024 Kay Brenner, 74, of Bellville, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 29, 1950, in Indiana to Henry and Jane Ford. In 1953, her family relocated to Bellville, where she grew up and cultivated a lifelong love for her community. She graduated from Bellville High School in 1968 and married the love of her life, James Brenner, on January 10, 1970. Together, they shared 47 beautiful years of marriage until James’ passing in 2017. Kay devoted her life to caring for others. She pursued a career as a nurse, serving patients with compassion and skill both in clinical settings and later as a home health service nurse. Her kind heart and selflessness touched countless lives throughout her career. Family was the cornerstone of her life. She and James raised four children: James Jr., Kristy, Jacob, and Jeb. She found immense joy in spending time with her family, creating cherished memories that will be treasured forever. In her free time, she loved making homemade jellies, sharing laughter with friends, and being a source of warmth and love to those around her. Kay leaves behind her children, Jimmy and wife Elva & their daughter Sarah Armstrong, daughter Kristy and Ricky Waak, son, Jake and wife Erin and their sons Henry and Wyatt, son, Jeb Brenner, sister Jill (Ford) Evans, extended family, and many dear friends. She will be remembered for her unwavering kindness, generous spirit, and the profound love she shared with everyone she met. She is preceded in death by her husband James, parents, Henry and Jane Ford, and sister Mary Beth (Ford) Grigar. A celebration of her life will be held at 11 am on Saturday, November 23rd, 2024 at Knesek Funeral Home in Bellville, TX. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a hospice care of choice. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love and care will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. We seek comfort in knowing she is at peace and in the company of loved ones who have gone before her. https://www.knesekfuneralhome.com/obituary/kay-brenner |
