Karen Ann Brisco, age 54, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 19, 2013. Karen was a native of Passaic, N.J. and currently resided in Bellville. She was a member of the Morning Star Cowboy Church of Kenney. Karen enjoyed playing bass guitar with the church praise team, cooking, and gardening. Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Joan Canter of Mayfield, Ky. She is survived by her husband, Harry Brisco; brother Gary (Karen) Canter of La Porte; daughters Sara and Jessica Gilbert of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; Rebecca (Armando) Velasquez of Brenham; son Justin (Ellen) Brisco of The Woodlands; granddaughters Elyssa Martin, Elizabeth Brisco, and Martha Brisco. Visitation Tuesday, July 23 at Knesek Bros. Hwy 36 Chapel in Sealy from 5 - 8 p.m. Funeral service Wednesday, July 24, at Knesek's at 10:30 a.m. Graveside service held at Myrtle Cemetery in Rock Island, Texas at 2:30 pm.
