Julian Lafayette Gaitley III, 81, of Sealy, TX, died at home with his family on April 16, 2024.
He was born in Charleston, WV to Julian and Marguerite (Droddy) Gaitley, Jr. He attended Western Hills High School in Cincinnati, OH before joining the Army where he worked as a medic. Later, he became a pipefitter, working at Geiler, Inc. of Cincinnati, OH. After retiring, he moved to Sealy, Texas. Square dance calling was both a passion and a secondary career. Butch also enjoyed attending scout meetings with his son where he initiated a Haunted House fundraiser for Boy Scout Troop 238 in Cincinnati, OH. Butch also enjoyed fellowship with his friends from Pipefitter’s Local Union 392 of Cincinnati, OH. Julian was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Janet, and brother Robert. His is survived by his brothers, David and Jerry along with his wife, Carol of 60 years, their 3 children and several grandchildren.
