Virginia Schmidt Brandt was born April 2nd, 1946 to Henry and Nelda (Warmke) Schmidt of Welcome. She was baptized and confirmed in the Welcome Lutheran Church. She was educated in Welcome Elementary School and graduated from Belleville High School. She also attended Blinn College in Brenham and Parks Junior College in Colorado. Virginia was an active real estate broker in Brenham for many years until she moved to Colorado.
She is survived by her three beautiful granddaughters, Heather Bright, Brandi Bright and fiance, Clay, Tiffany Topping and husband, Trey, with great-grandchildren Annabelle, Charles, and Emma Topping; brother, Henry Schmidt; nephew, Bradley Schmidt and wife, Jana, with children Trevor and Tanner; niece, Kimberly Moore and husband, Brian, with children Brandon and Witney. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Sherry Lynn Bright; her parents, Henry and Nelda Schmidt; brother, Rodger Lee Schmidt; grandparents; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. In lieu a flowers, please consider a memorial donation to The Welcome Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund. The service to honor Virginia Schmidt Brandt will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 20, 2021, located at Welcome Lutheran Church Cemetery.
