Gusse Lee (Steve) Muzny, (92), of Wallis, Texas, passed away on Monday, November 27th, 2023.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Kovar Muzny, and his father, Theodore Muzny of Plum, TX, along with his brother, Gene, his two sisters, Gladys and Bernice, and his son-in-law, George Barakat. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Geraldine; his sister, Georgia; daughters, Bridget, Cindy, Suzanne, Deborah; his sons-in-law (that he called his sons), Mike, Dan, Eric, and Jack; 12 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. Those who knew Steve loved his vibrant energy and his love of people. He treasured his time with his family and friends and his favorite activity was polka dancing with his little bride. They could glide across the dance floor together in a beautiful waltz or break out in an awesome jitterbug! Steve used his personality and hard work to be a successful co-owner of Texas Automatic Foods and sole owner with Geraldine of Coffee Treat. He was a devout Catholic and he enjoyed helping with the Guardian Angel Catholic Church Lent fish fry and with the annual church bazaar. He was also an active member of the Knights of Columbus, and he served as a mess sergeant in the United States Army. Steve never met a stranger, and we know he is making friends in heaven, and he will one day waltz around heaven with his bride again! Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, December 2, 2023, from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Guardian Angel Catholic Church, 5518 Demel Street, Wallis, TX, with a rosary at 11:00 AM and a funeral mass at 11:30 AM. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Catholic Cemetery. |
