Martinez, Jose DeJesus
Obituary
2024
On Christmas Eve December 24, 1973, Jose DeJesus Martinez, also known as Chuy, was born in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico.

His mother named Virginia Serrano & Father, Ruben Martinez. He had 2 sisters, Juany Martinez and Betty Guerrero.

He was the first born but was also born prematurely. He spent a month in an incubator along with an injured foot. The doctors had informed his mother that he was too little and fragile, that his life expectancy was no longer than 2 years. Meanwhile, his mother was in and out of the hospital within 2 years expecting a loss. By the grace of God, our beloved Chuy, became 100% healthy at 2 years old and was blessed with 50 years of life.

In 1994, Chuy had moved to Bellville, TX with the rest of his family who had moved there the year prior. Chuy, excited, ready, to start a new life in the small town of Bellville,TX, joined the welding industry with his father. Less than a year later, they received the devastating news that his father had passed at the age of 40. Although he was heartbroken, he knew he had to step up and help out his family.

A few years later, Chuy and his family, were blessed with a man named, Rosario Serrano, changing their lives forever. He married his mother and helped them live the lives they’ve always wanted. He considered Rosario very much as a father figure.

He had a very playful, lighthearted, humorous personality making sure anyone around him was laughing with him. He loved to laugh and make others laugh. He was noble, with a heart of gold. With a deep love for his mother. Never complained one bit when his family and friends asked for a simple favor. Although he didn’t have any kids of his own, He was very much present in the lives of his nieces and nephews. Loving them as if they were his own children.

After 50 years on earth, Chuy was called by God to come home on January 2, 2024. Leaving behind his pride and joy, his pups Susy & Lucy.

Chuy will be missed by many, leaving a mark on the hearts of those that he loved most.

Rest in peace Chuyito.
