Winifred Elaine Himly, 93, of Sealy, Texas, passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2012, in Katy, Texas. Winifred was born in Bellville, Texas on October 25, 1918 to Adolph Wendt and Marie Seyer. A life long resident of Austin County, she married Edward Otto Himly on June 12, 1940 in Bellville, Texas and worked beside her husband at the Himly Produce Company. A member of the First United Methodist Church in Sealy, Texas she was an avid gardener and loved baking cakes for family members on their birthdays.
Winifred is survived by her sons, David J. Himly of Sealy, Texas and Edward O. Himly, Jr. and his wife, Paula, of Houston, Texas; son-in-law, Tony Davila of Sealy, Texas; sister, Edith Krueger of Burleigh, Texas; brothers, Vernon Wendt of Bellville, Texas and Clarence Wendt and his wife, Elizabeth, of Columbus, Texas; grandchildren, Theresa and Raymond Klotz, Lisa and Victor Rodriguez, Anthony and Kristie Davila, Tamara and Lance Johnson, Danielle Himly and Dale, Wess and Sherille Beard, Erica and Tyler McBride, and Matt Poff; great-grandchildren, Madison and Mason Klotz, Marissa Fisher, and Preston Rodriguez, Jordyn, Ashlyn, and Kadyn Davila, Darren Lizotte, Dylan and Dawson Johnson, Nikolas and Hailea Poff, Patric and Bryan Beard, and Taylor, Melina, and Alaina McBride. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Edward Otto Himly, Sr.; her daughter, Lois Davila; her parents; and brothers, Kenneth Wendt, Wilbert Wendt, Ralph Wendt, and Harold Wendt. |
