Curtis Gaylan Klopsteck, 63, passed away at his home in Houston, Texas on Tuesday, November 24, 2015.
Curtis was born December 2, 1951 in Sealy, Texas to Wilmer Sr. and El Birdie Klopsteck. He has one brother, Wilmer Klopsteck Jr. He graduated high school in Sealy, Texas and went on to graduate from Blinn College before entering the Texas Department of Public Safety Academy in June 1973. He began to fulfill his dream of becoming a Texas State Trooper. He began his twenty years of service in Schulenburg, Texas and retired in 1993. Curtis is survived by his three daughters, Crystal Fitzgerald and husband, Brian, of Boston, MA, Katie Sellars and husband, John, of Conroe, TX, and Candace Robinson and husband, Brian, of League City, TX. He had four grandchildren, Harper, Hadley, and Hudson Sellars, and Timothy Fitzgerald. He has one brother, Wilmer Jr. and Avie Sue Klopsteck; two nieces, Lisa Whitten and husband, Cody, of College Station, TX, and Kristi Mathis and husband, Jason, of Cat Spring, TX. Curtis was preceded in death by his parents, Wilmer Sr. and El Birdie Klopsteck of Sealy, Texas. Services will be held on Sunday, November 24, 2015, at Knesek's Family Funeral Chapels at 768 Fourth Street, Sealy, TX 77474. Pastor Joe Vincent will be officiating. Pallbearers include Brian Robinson, John Sellars, Mark Shaver, Frank Fojtik, Michael Strunk, and Gordon Van Dyke. Visitation will be Sunday from 1 pm to 3 pm, with services immediately following. There will be a short graveside service at Sealy Cemetery. If more information is needed please call Knesek's Family Funeral Chapels at 979-885-3535. The family asks in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the local SPCA or the American Heart Association. |
