Jeannie Holland, 73, of Sealy, Texas, was born on January 8, 1944 in Austin, Texas to parents Charley Otis and Katherine Brown Otis. She is a sister to 11 siblings. She loved her family dearly and spent most of her life as a homemaker raising her only daughter, Linda. She was very involved with raising Linda and coordinating family visits and trips with the extended family. Later in life she loved to bowl and was on several bowling leagues for years. She loved to do crafts and often had booths in local craft shows. Jeannie loved all of her friends and never met a stranger. She was completely involved with her Church, Trinity Lutheran in Sealy. She loved to play bingo at the local KC Hall.
Jeannie is survived by her daughter, Linda Holland Jones, and son-in-law, David Jones of Waller, and grandson, Brandon Jones. Extended family includes her sister, Betty Haquin and husband, Don, of LA; brothers, Edward Otis of CA, Paul Hello of MS; sisters, Frances Bustin of LA; and many nieces and nephews. Jeannie was preceded in death by her father, Charley H. Otis, and mother, Katherine Brown Otis; siblings, Jack Hello Otis, Charley Otis Jr., Johnny Otis, Leo Otis, Rosalie Mowry, Marie Huggins, and Sadie Maddox. Funeral services Saturday, January 14, 2017, at 2:00 pm from Trinity Lutheran Church in Sealy, with Rev. Ken Bersche officiating. Visitation Friday, January 13, 2017, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church. Interment in Sealy Cemetery.
