Jack Perry Morgan, age 85, of Bellville, Texas passed away at his home on May 10, 2019. Jack was born on November 5, 1933 in Wharton, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents Earl Volney and Nannie Louise (Harigel) Morgan and his older brother Lt. Commander Robert Eugene Morgan and is survived by his younger sister Suzanne (Morgan) Andreas and her husband Frank of Columbus, Texas. Jack is also survived by his four daughters, Pamela Anne (Morgan) Brittain of Spring, Texas, Cynthia Lee (Morgan) Hancock and her husband Scott of Connersville, Indiana, Janis (Morgan) Green of Bellville, Texas, and Jackie Lynn (Morgan) Hagens and her husband John of Spring, Texas. He was blessed with 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, two great, great grandchildren; four nieces, two nephews and an extended family that loved him very much. Jack was raised in Columbus, Texas and graduated from Columbus High School in 1950. Jack served in the U.S. Army Reserve during the Korean War. He attended Wharton Junior College, Sam Houston State Teachers College, and the University of Houston. He was a licensed professional Mechanical Engineer in both Texas and Louisiana. He founded Hemisphere Corporation in 1975. In total he worked for 35 years in Houston. Jack was a man that loved to live in the past, present and the future. In the early 1980’s he restored the historical Harigel home, which became his residence. He enjoyed the world of technology and established a small computer business, Hemco Computers, in Bellville. He enjoyed messing with antennas, security cameras, all kinds of gadgets and had to have the first electric car in Bellville. He loved his television; new shows, old shows, game shows and sports. His legacy however, will be as Daddy, Grandfather and friend; the poker player and game player of all times! He loved to play games … all kinds of games that would bring us to the table. Family Traditions. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, May 17, 2019, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Knesek Family Funeral Chapel, 842 East Main Street, Bellville, Texas. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, May 18, 2019, at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in Oak Knoll Cemetery in Bellville. Pallbearers are Frank Andreas, John Hagens, Mike Barrett, Michael Hancock, Daniel Harigel Morgan, and Craig Peikert.
