Jerry Joe Kolafa was born in Wallis, Texas on February 7, 1935 and died in Missouri City, Texas on October 14, 2018 at the age of 83. Funeral services will be held at Guardian Angel Catholic Church on Thursday, October 18, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be at Knesek & Sons Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 17, 2018, from 5-7 p.m.
Jerry Joe Kolafa was born in Wallis on February 7, 1935 to Jake and Mary Kolafa. He graduated from Wallis High School in 1954. Jerry married Judith Elaine Fullerton on September 27, 1958. He served two years in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Stuttgart, Germany. He worked 30 years for Tesco in Houston and Bellville Tube in Sealy prior to his retirement. He leaves behind his wife of 60 years, Judy; three children, daughter, Debbie and husband, Tony Ashton, daughter, Terry Adams, and son, Joey and wife, Marlene Kolafa; also, eight grandchildren, Tabatha and husband, Aaron Ault, Brad and wife, Heather Ashton, Dustin Petrosky, Chrissy and husband, Jason Bibb, Kimberly Adams, Kristen and husband, Justin Wagnone, Austin Kolafa, and Matthew Adams; four great-grandchildren, Brodie and Ashlynn Ault, Sadie Bibb, and Emma Wagnone; sisters, Lillian Kolafa, Mary Ann and husband, Ernie Hudgens, Rosalie Miculek; and brother, Victor and wife, JoAnn Kolafa; sisters-in-law, Sandra and husband, Gary Caneness, Donna and husband, Don Toellner; and brother-in-law, Bob and wife, Sue Fullerton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jake and Mary Kolafa; brothers, Lidge and Eddie Kolafa; and in-laws, Bill and Lea Fullerton. Jerry was a proud member of the American Legion post in Wallis and Knights of Columbus 3rd Degree Knight. |
