Hattie Stepczyk, 86, of Pasadena, Texas, passed away on Feb 21, 2021. She was a daughter, sister, wife, aunt, mother, and grandmother. She will be missed dearly.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Martha & Lidge Hranicky, and husband, Robert Stepczyk. Hattie graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in Education and was a lifelong educator starting in Galena Park as a Home Economics teacher and finishing as a professor at San Jacinto College. She loved to cook and was known by many as "Aunt Cookie". She was also known to kick up her heels and dance away to any Czech/Polka song. Hattie is survived by son, John (Pam); and son, David and family; numerous grandchildren, including Mellissa (Brad) and Alec; as well as many nieces, nephews; and her sister, Charlene Marek. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2021, from 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM at Knesek and Sons Funeral Home, 122 N. First Street, Wallis, Texas, followed by a funeral mass at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Catholic Cemetery. Due to Covid restrictions, masks and social distancing will be required. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Hattie's name to the charity of your choice. |
