Carl Hartman, Jr., 92, passed away November 27, 2017. He was born February 11, 1925 in Cat Spring to Carl and Louise Hartman. He was raised in Cat Spring, then moved to Houston to work and raise a family. He retired back to Cat Spring in 1983.
He married Leatrice Marie Isle on August 4, 1945, and recently celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary with family. He worked as a Branch Parts Manager with International Harvester for 35 years and retired in 1980. His hobbies included hunting and fishing, gardening and raising his beloved cattle. He served in the U.S. Army with distinction from 1946-1947. He took his basic training in Washington state and was stationed for one year in Korea. He was a lifetime member of the Cat Spring Agricultural Society. He is preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Hilda Brast, Edmund Hartman, Willie Hartman, and Waldine Richard. He is survived by his loving wife, Leatrice; son Ronnie Hartman (and wife Emily), son Bobby Hartman, and daughter Carolyn Drushel (and husband Geoff). His grandchildren are Jeff Hartman (and friend Christy), and Angela Barker (and husband Jared), and granddaughter Willa Elizabeth Barker. Funeral services will be held at Knesek Funeral Home in Bellville on Thursday, November 30, 2017. Visitation at 11:00 a.m. with funeral service at 12:00 noon. Pallbearers include Duane Dudensing, Ervin Warschak, Jr., Jeff Hartman, Jared Barker, Alan Jecmenek and Gary Prause. |
