Ruth Jean Zander Harden was born to Henry William Fredrick Zander and Helen Mae Slama Zander on Monday, October 17th, 1932, in Bellville, Texas.
Jean married James Thomas Harden in 1948. They had four children, Jimmy, Johnny, Jeannie, and Janice. She was a very loving, devoted mother and grandmother. She had a great love for her family, the outdoors, fishing, camping, sitting on her front porch swing, and music. On Saturday, October 7th, 2023, Jean peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, surrounded by her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Fred Zander; husband, Jim Harden; son, Johnny Harden; grandson, Joshua Harden; and great-granddaughter, Samantha Harden. She is survived by her sister, Carole Tarwater (Mel) of Bellville; her children, Jimmy Harden (Donna) of Porter, Jeannie Smith (Dave) of Huntsville, and Janice Santos of Bellville; her grandchildren, Micah Harden (Tricia), Glenn Harden (Gina), James Harden (Patty), Sarah Santos, Jennifer Novak (John), Rachel White (Ronald), Mikayla Hilderbrand (Corey); and many other great and great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers: Micah, Glenn, James, Sarah, Rachel, Mikayla Graveside service will be held at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery located at 2565 Pilgrims Rest Rd. in Bellville, Texas on October 14, 2023 at 11:00 AM. Everyone is encouraged to wear blue as this is her favorite color. |
