Kaminski, Emilian John
Obituary
2021
Emilian John Kaminski was born to Mary Koteras and John Kaminski on October 29, 1931 in Chappell Hill Texas. He passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 11, 2021 in Bellville Texas. Emilian spent his last three years suffering from dementia at Colonial Belle Nursing Home in Bellville. Due to Covid-19 restrictions the family was not able to be with him during his last hours.
In 1953, Emilian was drafted into the United States Army to serve his country until 1959 when he received an Honorable Discharge. After the army, he married Darlien Ordell Ekarius of Sealy and became a rancher. They both love to attend local dances. He worked for Superior Furniture Company making furniture and worked there until the business closed. While working there he made many life-long friends and earned the nickname "E.K". Then he went to work at Bellville Tube until his retirement. After retirement, he continued to ranch, his true passion. He and his son did custom hay baling for many customers in the Sealy area. You would see him cutting or raking hay with that Kubota tractor. Some of his favorite places to support were the Austin County Fair and the Austin County Farm Bureau. Every year in October, he would shut down his operation for a week and go to the fair every day. When the Farm Bureau had their annual convention, he would look forward to that for several weeks because there would be a meal and fellowship. Emilian was predeceased in death by his wife, Darlien Ordell Kaminski; his brother, Leonard Kaminski; his sister, Florence Faterkowski. Emilian is survived by his son, Allen Kaminski, wife, Becky of Sealy; sister, Angeline Nowak; sister-in-law, Vernell, and brother-in-law, Kermit Dittert; granddaughters, Courtney Hutson, husband, Jimmy, of Alvin, Misty Howell, husband, Billy, of Santa Fe; great-grandchildren, Brittany Watkins of Clearlake, Chloe and Kaitlyn Mcleod of Alvin, C.J. Hutson of Katy, Saddie, Gann and Lane Howell, of Santa Fe. Pallbearers are Billy Howell, Jimmy Hutson, Bruce Dittert, Billy Palm, Daniel Nowak, Greg Schomburg.
