Surrounded by her daughters and daughter-in-law, Willie Mae Boeker Wagner age 80, left her earthly burdens to be with her heavenly family on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013.

Born on March 17, 1932 to Herbert and Emma Schulze Boeker of Gay Hill, she was one of 10 children. She was baptized on May 8, 1932 at Friedens Evangelical Church of Gay Hill. She was confirmed there on May 25, 1947.

She married R. P. Wagner, Jr. in the same church on April 19, 1953 and lived in Shelby. Willie Mae took great pride in her cows, garden and flowers. She loved to bake, take walks in the woods, drive in the pasture and always had the radio playing and a flower bouquet arrangement in the house. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Shelby where she was a past Sunday school and Bible school teacher for many years.

Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter, Donna Jean, her son, Lucky, her sons-in-law, David Roesler and L.C. Bauerkemper, she is survived by daughters and son-in-law Nancy Roesler, Linda and Rudy Tiemann, Kelly Bauerkemper; daughter-in-law Kathy Wagner; grandchildren Curt Roesler, Brett Roesler, Christopher and Amy Tiemann, Amy Roesler and fiancé Adam Stubbs, Cody and Meghan Wagner, Stacie Brown and fiancé Michael McCullough, Mandi and Shane Amos, Valerie and Ryan Ross, Cacie Wagner; great-grandchildren Hailey and Jaycee Ross, Kylie and Rilynn Amos, Paul McCullough and Caellum Wagner; sisters Hildegard Lange and Gene Hopmann; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Doris Bruedigan, Wilma Boeker, Margaret and Luther Schwettmann, Grace and Charles Crawford; Edwin Oevermann, Jim Forgerson, Wilbert Horstmann; nieces, nephews, extended family and CoCo her dog.

Visitation was 6-8 p.m., Friday, Feb. 15, 2013 at Brenham Memorial Chapel.

Funeral service were 10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013 at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Shelby with Rev. Dr. Sue Beall officiating. Burial was in Prairie Lea Cemetery.

Pallbearers were her grandsons; honorary pallbearers are her granddaughters and great-grandchildren.
