Eugene Lawson Villman was born to August A. and Bertha (Henkel) Villman in Houston, Texas, on May 20, 1923. He passed away on Dec. 21, 2013. In his long life, Mr. Villman accomplished many things and fulfilled many dreams. Eugene grew up in Houston and graduated from Jeff Davis High School. As a young man in World War II, he earned several service medals fighting in Guadalcanal and Okinawa. When he returned home, he met the love of his life, Lillie Mae Engelmohr, married her on June 18, 1950, and had 63 wonderful years. He also began a love of flying, earning his pilot’s license. Later in life, he became a Bellville farmer who fully enjoyed his retirement. He particularly loved his family, dogs and horses. He was a member of First Baptist Church – Brenham. Eugene is preceded in death by his parents; August and Bertha Villman; brothers, Clarence, Dawson (twin), August, and sister, Mary Louise. He is survived by his daughters, Deborah Kazmir and husband, James, and Cindy Kingham and husband, Rick; son, Larry Villman and wife, Susan; grandchildren, Crystal Garza and husband, Jesse; Adam Kazmir and wife, Bonita; Andrea Godbold and husband, Evan; and Ricky Kingham, Jr. and great grandchildren, Emily Garza, Corbin and Piper Kazmir, and Liam Godbold. Visitation was from 9 a.m. until Funeral Service at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013 at Knesek Bros. Funeral Chapel, 842 E. Main St., Bellville, Texas. Pastor Troy Sikes officiated.
