Graveside Services at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Frydek for Espy Strickland, 64, of Sealy, 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 24, 2013 at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Frydek with Deacon Jerome Losack officiating. Pallbearers: Ray Strickland, Jr., Kevin Strickland, David Strickland, Roger Hankins, Neill Hurley, Eric Bastien, Gary Keeton, Jerry Brown and Clay Strickland. Honory Pallbearers: Donnie Bartulla, Joe Ed Lynn, Danny Poffenberger, Pastor Dan and Larry Haywood. Espy James Strickland was born on July 13, 1948 in Houston to parents Monroe R. Strickland, Sr. and Agnes Mattern Strickland. He was raised in Houston and attended Reagen High School. He worked as a car salesman for Dowell Motors in Sealy, Lawrence Marshall in Hempstead, Archer Chrystler in Houston and Tommie Vaughn Motor in Columbus. Survivors include his sons, Troy Strickland and Clay Strickland, sister, Noah Hankins and husband Terry of San Felipe, brother, Raymond Strickland and wife Molly of San Felipe. He was preceded in death by his parents, Monroe R. Strickland, Sr. and Agnes Strickland and brother Monroe R.
