Funeral Services for Roosevelt “Veal” Smith were held Saturday Jan. 19, 2013 at Historic Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church 704 W. Carver Bellville with Dr. Willialm Quickley Pastor and Rev. Johnny Jackson Officator. Mr. Smith received his education in the Austin County Public School System. Roosevelt was employed by the City of Bellville as a Heavy Equipment Operator. His hobbies included music, dancing and playing pool and dominoes. Roosevelt left to cherish his memories a devoted wife Virginia Smith, Sons: Wright C. McDonald (Maxine) and Walter Earl Smith, five grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Pallbearers were Lenel Brandieberg, Melvin”Lighting” Randle, Roy Telford, Jerry Jackson Emmitt Burton and Johnny Leggans.
