GALVESTON - Ruby Schuessler, 88, of Galveston passed away, Wednesday, January 11, 2006, at Turner Geriatric Care Center in Galveston. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, January 13, 2006, with the Rev. Ray Pinard officiating at Galveston Memorial Park in Hitchcock, under the direction of Carnes Brothers Funeral Home of Galveston. Visitation was held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Ruby was born September 21, 1917, in Bellville, Texas to O.L. and Sophie Luedecke Meissner. She was a homemaker and of the Presbyterian faith. She loved to read and was an excellent paint artist. She was an avid sports fan who loved the Astros and the Rice Owls. Preceded in death by her parents, sister, Charlotte M. Jinkins, and husband, Felix A. Schuessler, survivors include nephew, Dr. A.J. Jinkins, Jr. and wife Kathy of Galveston; nieces, Amber Thompson of Alvin, Haley Thompson of Richmond, Heather Jinkins of Los Angeles, and Jami Jinkins of Jones Creek; nephews, A.J.
