Albina Pauline Rosas of Sealy died on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at the age of 94 years.
Albina was born on January 31, 1929 in Frydek, Texas to Henry and Alphona (Pyka) Wysocki. She was the youngest of 10 children. Albina was baptized, received her First Holy Communion, and was confirmed in the Catholic faith. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Her favorite pastime was visiting with family and friends, going to bingo in Sealy and the surrounding areas, and fishing on Sundays. She enjoyed traveling to the casinos in Louisiana and Las Vegas trying her luck on the slot machines. Her other interesting trips were to Disney World in Florida during the Christmas holidays, Memphis to see Graceland, and cruises to the Bahamas. She was always ready to attend social events, never turning down an invitation. In her senior years, she enjoyed starting the day by socializing with friends over breakfast at Whataburger. Albina was a lifetime member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Frydek and a member of the Frydek KJZT Lodge. Preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Mary Ann Jurek Howard; sisters Sophie Gregurek, Martha Belunek, Frances Zboril, Mary Mieth, and Bertha Gajewski; brothers Joe Wysocki, Steve Wysocki, Frank Wysocki, and Charlie Wysocki; daughter-in-law, Peggy Jurek, and Valentine Jurek, father of her 4 children. She leaves behind her loving family, sons, and daughter-in-law, Edmund and Joan Jurek, Bennie Jurek and Henry Jurek; her grandchildren, Audra Krebs, Nikki Jurek, and Michael Jurek, along with numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends. Visitation with the family will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Frydek on the day of her funeral, Friday, March 24, 2023, from 10:00 to 11:30 am, followed by a rosary at 11:30 am. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Frydek. Pallbearers will be Michael Jurek, Lawrence Mieth, Dr. Chris M. Mieth, Nicholas Mieth, Tommy Machala and Mark Machala.
