April 13, 1995 page 16 Funeral services for Phillip W. Pfeffer, 85, of Kenney, formerly of Fulshear, Texas, were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 8, 1995 from the Knesek Bros./Etlinger Funeral Chapel in Bellville with Rev. Ann Dwelle Ward officiating. Interment was in the Oak Knoll Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers for the service were Joe Wiktorik, Melvin Pfeffer, Bennie Dahse, Delano Pfeffer, Bo Stafford and Thomas Johnson, Jr. Born on December 9, 1909 in Kenney, Texas, Phillip was the son of Charles F. and Johanna (Dahse) Pfeffer. Raised in Kenney, he attended Kenney Public School. Mr. Pfeffer and the former Miss Elizabeth Louise Schultz were united in marriage on November 11, 1941 in Bellville. Phillip served his country during World War II in the Batter C 441st Anti-Aircraft Artillery Battalion of the U. S. Army from June, 1942 to July, 1945 and received a Purple Heart. He was employed with Fort Bend County as a crawler operator in the maintenance department until he retired. He loved to grow flowers and trees and to build things. Phillip W. Pfeffer died Wednesday, April 5, 1995 in a Bellville Nursing Home. He is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Darlene Venable of Hockley, Diane and James Persky of Katy, sons and daughters-in-law, Lloyd and Ann Pfeffer of Fulshear, Phillip, Jr. and Carolyn Pfeffer of Bedford, Bill and Dominga Pfeffer of Fulshear, Herbert Pfeffer of Katy, sister, Martha Dahse of Katy, brothers and sister-in-law, Jake Pfeffer of Bellville, John and Frances Pfeffer of Bellville, sister-in-law, Manilla Pfeffer also of Bellville, seven grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in Death by his parents, his wife Elizabeth and his sisters Ella Schaare and Clara Wiltorik, his brothers Walter, Eddie, Charlie, Oscar and Arno and his grandson Sean Pfeffer and son-in-law Bob Venable.
