Donald Carey Paulson, Jr., 47, of Bellville, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013. He was born Feb. 22, 1966, to Donald C. Paulson, Sr. and Beverly Elizabeth Teague Wienecke. Donnie grew up in the Heights area until 1969, before moving to Spring Branch. In 1970, he moved to Aldine, graduating from Aldine High School, in 1985, moving to Bellville in 1991. Donnie was a member of the Bellville Masonic Lodge #6522, AF&AM, York Rites Bodies, Shiners’, Order of the Eastern Star, volunteer at the Bellville VFD annual fundraiser, and a member of the Buddy Lyons Cook-Off Team for the Austin County Fair Association. He enjoyed doing mechanic work, hunting, fishing, raising ring-neck doves and longhorn cattle. Donnie was a yard Superintendent with Vincik’s Building Supply in Bellville. He was a well-known guy that would always be heard making jokes when he was loading lumber supplies out to customers and you could always count on seeing the hidden smile underneath the bushy beard. He was a quiet, gentle man who will be missed by many. Survivors: Mother Beverly Wienecke of Bellville; father Donald Paulson, Sr. (Sharon), of Missouri; sisters and brothers all of Missouri; and other dear family and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, paternal grandparents, two step-grandfathers, aunts, Kathy and Annette, step-father, Floyd Wienecke, and beloved friend, Joyce Zapalac. Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m., Friday, Dec. 20, 2013. Funeral service was held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013, both from the Schmidt Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Herb Stallknecht officiating. Interment followed in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery. Graveside service under the auspices of the Bellville Masonic Lodge #6522, AF&AM, Sealy Masonic Lodge #239, AF&AM and Brookshire Masonic Lodge #1066, AF&AM. Pallbearers were the members of the Bellville Masonic Lodge #6522, AF&AM, Sealy Masonic Lodge #239, AF&AM and Brookshire Masonic Lodge #1066, AF&AM.
