Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Blazek were held from the Knesek Funeral Home at Wallis Monday morning, October 29, at 8:45 a.m. with holy requiem mass at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Wallis. Rev. Alois Nesvabda and Rev. Lazek officiated. Burial was at the Catholic Cemetery in Wallis. Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Della Owen of Houston, Mrs. Ollie Hartman and Mrs. Mildred Schultze of Rosenberg, and Mrs. Annie Nowak of Wallis; four sons, John and Joe Blazek of Wallis, Willie Blazek of East Bernard, and August Blazek of Beasley; 22 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were her grandsons, Jimmie Schultze, Howard Ray Schultze, Alvin Joe Blazek, Bob Blazek, C. Verne Hartman, Tommie Nowak, Willie Joe Nowak, and Johnnie Blazek. Mrs. Blazek was born in Czechoslovakia and came to this country with her parents at an early age. She passed away at the Schumann Hospital Friday, Oct. 25, at 3:30 p.m. after a short illness. Her husband, John Blazek, preceded her in death on Jan. 21, 1948. |
