Lucy Blazek (Mrs. Ed) died early Wednesday at St. Dominic's Nursing Home in Houston. She made her home in Wallis, Texas for eighty-five years and reached the age of 99 years and eight months at the time of her death. She was born in Fayetteville, Texas on Nov. 18, 1893 to Andrew and Eva Zurek and moved to Wallis at age 16. She was a loving mother to Leona and Smokey Frank of Conroe, Texas, Edith and Paul Sanford of Bellville, TX, and Maureen and Leroy Blazek of Wallis. Also surviving are her dear grandchildren, Carol, Jackie, Paula, Mark, Bill, David, Steve, Louis and her 15 great grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Lucy was preceded in death by her husband Ed, their first child, Leonard and a grandson Chris. Rosary was recited Thursday evening. The funeral Mass was held at Guardian Angel Church on Friday and burial was at the church cemetery. |
