Janie Bage, 48, of Bellville, died, Jan. 3, 2005, at her residence.
Mrs. Bage was born March 9, 1956, in Corpus Christi to Leo and Julia Elliot Mahan. She was a graduate of Navasota High School. Mrs. Bage was baptized in the Church of Christ. In March of 1973 she was married to Fred Bage in Huntsville. Mrs. Bage was a restaurant worker and homemaker. Survivors include her husband, Fred Bage of Bellville; daughters and sons-in-law, Freddie and Jeff Anastasi of Brenham, Shaye Bage of Bellville and Charlie and Jim Jones of Brenham; seven grandchildren; four brothers and three sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents. The family received visitors from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 5 in Memorial Oaks Chapel. The funeral service was held on Jan. 6, 2005 at 2 p.m. in Memorial Oaks Chapel with Gene Polvado officiating. Burial was at Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham. Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be given to Hospice Brazos Valley or M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
