Nina May Husky age 88 went to be with her Lord and Savior on Feb. 12, 2015. She will be dearly missed by her family. Nina was known as her son’s bookkeeper because he always caught her reading her novels at work in his optical shop in Brenham. She loved to sew making baby quilts for her grandchildren. She never sat idol, always busy making things for others. She was blessed with an independent spirit and healthy body. Her Wednesday off from the optical shop always included driving to standing hair appointment and trips to Walmart. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Preceded in death by her parents E.O. Schnars and Iva Schnars. Survived by husband John Huskey Jr.; sons Bryan Huskey and wife Martha, Raymond Huskey and Gwen Ramirez; daughters Rhonda Kidd and husband Gayland and Janice Baskin and husband David; grandchildren Amanda Dunkel, Joe Huskey, Andrea Clark, Travis Kidd, David Allan Baskin, Amy Schultz; and great grandchildren Tanner Dunkel, Cole Dunkel, Danielle Dunkel, Hanna Clark, Karly Jo, Landry Clark, Kynleigh and Brandon Baskin and Jack Schultz. Pallbearers: Joe Huskey, David Alan Baskin, Travis Kidd, Bobby Clark, Jerry Guyton and Les Evans. Services were Saturday 1 p.m. at Knesek Funeral Chapel in Bellville.
