Higgins Rusty Jay Higgins, Age 14, of Kenney. Born: Dec. 14, 2000. Died: Jan. 21, 2015. Rusty Jay Higgins, 14, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2015. Rusty was born on Dec. 14, 2000, in Houston to Steven and Robin Higgins. Rusty touched many lives in our small town of Bellville. He had such a wonderful and happy personality that he could express most by his contagious smile and happy screams. He went everywhere with his family and participated in everything they did. He loved his Church and his Church family. He loved racing (car and wheelchair), fishing, watching old movies, dancing, going to football games, raising animals for the Austin Co. Fair, aggravating his mom at supper time and smiling and hugging any of the Brahmadora girls. He loved racing so much that he raced his teachers, in the hallways, at school. Rusty taught us to love life and that family is all you need to be happy in this world. Anytime you saw Rusty, he always had a smile on his face. Rusty is preceded in death by grandparents Betty Buran, Larry Higgins, and James Turlington; great grandparents Bennie and Erna Pieper, Ben and Martha Dahse, Willie and Jessie Rae Higgins; great aunt Hannah and uncle Rudy and Gracie Dahse; uncles Christopher Johnson and Craig Higgins and Rusty’s very first friend, Mason Black.
