On August 29, 1958, a baby boy was born to Willie Mae and Riley Harris, Sr. in San Felipe, Texas. They lovingly named him Charles Edward Harris.
“Charlie” as he was affectionately known grew up in San Felipe, Texas and attended Sealy public schools. He was an easy going person, well known in the community and helpful in many ways. His favorite pastime was mechanical work, playing dominoes, shooting pool and spending quality time with this family and friends. Charlie later moved to Katy, Texas, where he was employed by Katy Pony Baseball for ten years. He was preceded in death by his father, Riley Harris, Sr.; two siblings, Laverne and Harold. Charlie leaves to cherish his memories to his wife, Patricia Harris; mother, Willie Mae Harris; five sisters, Doris Broady, Joycie Boone (Henry), Gloria Harris, Belinda Boston (Ronnie) and Henrietta Chavis (Bryan); four brothers, Riley Harris, Jr. (Theresa), Wilbert Harris (Betty), Willie Harris (Geraldine) and David Harris; one aunt, Myrtle Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, including two special friends, David and Daryl. |
