Kathryn Nell (Kramer) Priesmeyer, 87, of Bellville, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, in Bellville General Hospital. Kathryn was born Feb. 4, 1926, in Brenham, the daughter of Fred and Alma (Westerfield) Kramer. She was baptized at Eben Ezer Lutheran Church in Berlin, Texas on June 13, 1926, and confirmed at the Zionsville Lutheran Church on Sept. 17, 1939. She grew up in the Brenham area and attended the Zionsville schools. On June 5, 1948, Kathryn married Erwin Priesmeyer in Brenham. They moved to Bellville in 1961 where they were members of St. John Lutheran Church. In her early years, Kathryn was employed at the Smith Bros. Appliance Store and Joe Frank Dress Factory. She enjoyed being a wife and mother, raising her children and helping with her grandchildren. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Kathryn loved being Erwin’s wife and taking care of their family. She enjoyed gardening and working in her yard, and all types of needle work including crocheting and sewing. Erwin preceded Kathryn in death in 2004, after 55 years of marriage. Kathryn is survived by her children Jimmy Priesmeyer and his wife, Linda, of Brenham, and Judy Luedke and her husband, Don, of Kenney; grandchildren Brandon Luedke and his wife, Rebecca, of Bellville, Kyle Priesmeyer and his wife, Jamie, of Houston, Chad Luedke and his friend, Amanda Zapalac, of Bellville, Kaci Priesmeyer and her fiancee, Preston Dengler of Cy-Fair, and Koy Priesmeyer of College Station; great grandchildren Darcy and Chloe Luedke, Kennedy Priesmeyer; future great granddaughter Virginia Kathryn Priesmeyer; sister-in-law Laverna Priesmeyer of Bellville; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Erwin Priesmeyer, two sisters: Bernice Pape and Louise Werth, and great granddaughter, Elizabeth Kathryn Luedke. Friends called from 5-7 p.m., Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at the Schmidt Funeral Home in Bellville where family will was present to receive friends. Funeral service was at 10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, at the St. John Lutheran Church in Bellville with Pastor David Henske and Pastor Jennie Jones officiating. Interment followed in the Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Bellville.
