Booker T. Washington, Jr. was born the second child to Booker T. Washington, Sr. and Lola Washington Pierce on May 25, 1927 in Austin County, Texas.
He attended public school in Rocky, Texas. He had professed Christ in his life and became a baptized believer and member of Smith Chapel A.M.E. in Rosenberg, Texas. In 1960, he married Martha Nell Morgan and to this 20 year union, three sons were born. In 1965, he moved his family to Wellington, Kansas and there he lived until he retired as a general carpenter in 1990. He then moved back to Kenney, Texas. Here, he was called to rest on May 2, 1992. He leaves to cherish his memories: His mother, Lola Washington Pierce. His sons: Booker T. III, Leslie Wayne, and Bruce O'Neil. His son's mother: Martha Washington Roul. Two sisters: Goldie Washington Preston and Ermadene McClure. Two brothers: Matthew Washington and John Henry Washington. Two grandchildren: Lashamia and Jonte' Washington and a host of nephews and nieces. Funeral Service: May 7, 1992, Jackson Chapel A.M.E. Church, Kenney, Texas, Rev. K. L. Bullock, officiating, Smith Chapel A.M.E., Rosenberg, Texas. Active Pallbearers: Lawrence Washington, Michael Washington, John Washington, Jr., Robert Ware, Mr. Kopech, and Wilbert Preston.
