Funeral services for Edna B. Schroeder, 87, of Sealy were held Saturday November 26, 1994 at 2:00 p.m. from the Knesek Bros./Etlinger Funeral Chapel in Sealy with Rev. Terry Cashion officiating. Interment was in the Sealy Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service were Tim Gregorek, John Cox, Charles Lummus, Wilbert Wendt, Jr., Aubrey Stuessel and T. J. Rogers, Jr. Honorary pallbearers were Billy Ray Goller, Earl Steck, Marcus Steck, Jr. and Mark Frank. The former Miss Edna Bertha Elise Braesicke was born on July 25, 1907 in Cat Spring to parents Albert and Antonie Wittenburg Braesicke. She was raised in the Cleveland Community and attended school at the Cleveland Public School. On September 27, 1924, she married Leonard F. Schroeder in Houston and was owner-operator of the Wayside Drive Inn and the Rainbow Inn in Sealy retiring in 1969. Mrs. Schroeder was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sealy. She died Wednesday November 23, 1994 in a local nursing home. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Fay and Charles Goller of Sealy, Deloris and Donnie Rumley of Somerville and Janet and Malcolm Barrett of Bay City, eleven grandchildren, twenty one great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Antonie Braesicke; husband, Leonard F. Schroeder; sister, Lillie Kuehn; brothers: Edwin and Arthur Braesicke, and granddaughter, Sandra Kay Rumley.
