John Freeman Graham, 53, of Bellville, passed away suddenly on Oct. 16, 2014, in Bellville. John was born April 11, 1961, in Bellville to parents Jack and Ann Keeling Graham. He grew up and attended school in Bellville graduating from Bellville High School in 1979. John married Sharon Dee Curry on March 20, 2010. They made their home in Bellville where they were members of the Bellville United Methodist Church. John was a loving husband and son, and a beloved uncle. In his early years, John was a member of the Texas A&M Parsons Mounted Cavalry. A lifelong tradesman, John was an incredibly skilled carpenter, electrician and blacksmith. When not working, John best enjoyed his time with family and around a domino table. He was also a member of the Bellville Lions Club. John is survived by his wife Sharon Graham of Bellville; mother Ann Graham of Bellville; brother Lloyd Graham and his wife, Kim, of La Porte; nephew Justin Graham; nieces Jillian Graham, Michelle Stalcup and Kelly Stalcup; father-in-law and mother-in-law Richard and Carol Curry of Akron, Ohio; and many other dear friends and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Graham, sister, Karen Stalcup and cousin Jon Murry. Family received friends from 4-6 p.m.., Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014, at the Schmidt Funeral Home in Bellville. Funeral Service was held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 19, 2014, at the Bellville United Methodist Church with Pastor Malcolm Monroe officiating. Interment followed in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery. Pallbearers were Elroy Kiecke, Bob Goodson, James Barton, Max Thompson, Justin Graham, Lloyd Graham, Ed Maher, Ryan Burrer and Kent Graham. Honorary pallbearer was Gregg Lange.
