Thursday October 15, 1942 Illness of 2 Weeks Fatal To Hugo Frank in Albuquerque, NM Hugo Edward Frank well known native of Bellville whose home was in Belen, New Mexico died in an Albuquerque hospital at 11:10 P.M. on Sunday, October 11, following an illness of two weeks. An operation was performed in the Santa Fe hospital in Albuquerque in an effort to save his life. Mr. Frank was 47 years of age, having been born here on March 24, 1895. He as reared here, served in the A.E.F. in the First World War and shortly after returning to private life went to work as a switchman for the Sante Fe. On September 16, 1924 Mr. Frank was married to Miss Mattie Matthews in Houston. He was a member of the American Legion, the Methodist Church and belonged to a Trainmen's Brotherhood. Surviving are his widow, two daughters, Mattie Lynn Frank and Shirley Ann Frank; two sons Hugo Edward Frank Jr. and Donald Matthews Frank; four sisters, Mrs. Eva Wietstruck and Mrs. Richard Berndt of Bellville, Mrs. Max Andreas of Temple and Mrs. Robert Adler of El Paso and seven brothers A.C. Frank, Julius Frank, Ferdinand Frank, Alfred Frank, Edgar Frank and Carl Frank of Bellville and Herman Frank of Galveston. Services were held at 5 P.M. this afternoon at the Methodist Church here with Rev. W. H. Dunlap conducting the rites.
