Thursday, December 11, 1980 Page 16 Obituary Mr. Raymond Fisher Funeral services for Raymond Fisher, 78, of Bellville were held from the chapel of the Pete E. Etlinger Funeral Home in Bellville at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, December 10th with Rev. Alvis Bell officiating. Entombment was in the Oak Knoll Mausoleum. Pallbearers were: Mark McCourt, Joe McCourt, T. D. Falk, Gary Hohlt, Paul D. Fisher and Marion Ruggles. Mr. Fisher passed away in a Houston hospital at 1 a.m. on Monday, December 8, 1980. He had been in failing health for the past six months. Born in Bellville on July 6, 1902 he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gus Fisher. He was reared in Bellville and attended the Bellville Public School. Mr. Fisher was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bellville. He was employed as a crane operator for many years. On September 23, 1925 he was married to the former Lena Boeckelmann in ceremonies performed in Houston. Mrs. Fisher passed away on December 4, 1978. Survivors include: sisters, Mrs. Annie Bell Johnson of Illinois, Mrs. Nonie Schavrda of Houston, Mrs. Blanche Mathews of Colorado and Mrs. Mattie Traver of Channelview; brother, Chester Fisher of California; and a number of nieces and nephews.
