Patsy Browne, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, just left us Tuesday, July 29, 2014 to dine with the King. Mom to some, Pats to her grandchildren and Patsy to others, is in Heaven at peace. Patsy was born in Sealy on Aug. 12, 1943 to Julius and Viola Vykoukal. She attended the Immaculate Conception Catholic School. Patsy graduated from Sealy High School in 1961. She married the love of her life, Billy Browne, also, in 1961. After living in Houston and Katy, Billy and Patsy moved back home to Sealy in 1975 when Billy became GM of Stephen F. Austin Golf Club. Patsy had a servant’s heart. She was the glue that held the family together. She loved gardening, fishing and her trips to Louisiana with her best friend and sister, Rosie. Patsy was an awesome cook. How she could feed a family of five, which included three teenage boys, with one fried chicken is still a mystery. Patsy was a true mother and homemaker. The house was always clean and there was always breakfast and dinner on the table which was enjoyed by the family. She taught her sons valuable life lessons about forgiveness, kindness, love, mercy, and grace, always putting her needs behind those she loved. Patsy is preceded in death by her parents, Julius and Viola Kenter Vykoukal, mother-in-law Ollie Browne, sister Dee Dee Beckendorff and brothers-in-law Sammy Browne and David Krueger. She is survived by her husband of 53 years Billy Browne, son Bob, wife Julie and their children William, David, and Julianna, son Doug, wife Rhonda and their children Hannah and Phoebe, son Steve and his children Barrett, Garrett, and Gavin. Also, sister Rosie Krueger and daughter Christina, brother-in-law Cooter Browne, wife Nancy and their children Glenn, Mike, and Tim Browne and families, sister-in-law Terri Eaton, husband Jerry, nieces Audrey Megill, Mandy Staff, and Abbey Browne and families, brother-in-law Milton Beckendorff, wife Chris and nephews Jimmy, Travis, and Brad and families. She is, also survived by numerous cousins and friends. Also, let’s not forget her dog, Kissy. In lieu of flowers, a fund has been established in Patricia Ann Browne’s name with the Friends of San Felipe De Austin Historical Site, PO Box 17, San Felipe, TX. 77473 referencing the Patsy Browne Fund. www.knesekfuneralhome.com Posted by Bruce White |
