Hilda Louise Hartman Brast, age 92, passed away Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014, at Colonial Belle Nursing Home in Bellville. Hilda was born April 1, 1922, in Cat Spring, the eldest daughter of Carl and Louise Brast Hartman. She grew up in Cat Spring attending the Cat Spring School and shared with the family farming duties. Hilda is survived by her daughter Denise Lange and son-in-law, Randy, of Frydek, grandson, Everett Lange and wife, Kirby, great grandsons, Grady Lange, and Grant Bubela, all of El Campo. She is also survived by one brother, Carl “Charlie” Hartman and wife, Leatrice, of Cat Spring, and sister-in-law, Gladys Hartman, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Edmund and Willie Hartman, and sister Waldine Richard. Visitation was held at Knesek Funeral Home, 842 East Main, Bellville, Texas, on Tuesday, Aug. 19 beginning at 9:30 a.m with funeral services at 10:30 a.m. Interment followed at Cat Spring Cemetery.
