January 9, 1986 page 15 Funeral services for Mrs. Eliza Brast, 82, of Sealy were held from the Chapel of the Pete E. Etlinger Funeral Home in Sealy at 3 p. m. on Saturday, Jan. 4 with Rev. Clyde Drake and Rev. Warren Richardson officiating. Burial was in the Sealy Cemetery. Pallbearers were Edmund Marcinkiewicz, Jr., John Marcinkiewicz, Leroy Brast, Victor Brast, Jr., Stephen Wochowski and Kenny Brast. Mrs. Brast died in a Columbus nursing home at 11:20 a. m. on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 1986. She had been in failing health for the past few years. Born in the Rexville Community near Saly on December 5, 1903 she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Sailer. She was reared in Rexville and attended the Rexville Public School. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Sealy. The former Miss Eliza Sailer was married to Gustav Brast on November 15, 1921 in ceremonies performed in Columbus. Mr. Brast died on November 12, 1978. Survivors include daughters, Mrs. Emilie Foshee of Jacksonville, Mrs. Alice Marcinkiewicz of Bellville and Miss Deana Brast of Columbus; sons Marcus Brast of Wallis, Victor, David and Weldon Brast, all of Sealy, and Gene Brast of Nacogdoches; sister, Mrs. Meta Malecek of Cat Spring, 18 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
