The Journey of Bernice Bradley
Bernice Bradley passed away at 5:24 p.m., Tuesday, 06 June 2017 in Houston, Texas at Hermann Memorial Hospital. Born, Bernice Martin on 26 September 1932 to the proud parents Josie and Reverend William Martin in Stirrat, West Virginia. Bernice was raised in Scranton, Pennsylvania and graduated from Scranton Technical High School. She worked in Scranton until she met the love of her life, William S. Bradley. Claiming love at first sight, after a valiant courtship, he asked her to become his wife, and they married in 1980. She relocated to Houston, Texas where they remained married for 37 years. Bernice was known to all as loving, encouraging, outgoing, gentle, patient, and kind. She embraced everyone and people were indelibly marked by having known her. Bernice retired from Aldine School District where she was loved by many. Bernice was proceeded in death by her father and mother; three brothers, and four sisters. She leaves to mourn her loving husband, William Bradley; sons William Smith (Paula Broaden-Smith) and Warren Moore; daughters Toni Rae Roberts, Terri Carver, Sylvia Gray; grandchildren, Teronna Carver and Urica Carver, seven great grandchildren and sister Ludy Fisher. The Viewing will be held on Wednesday, 14 June 2017 at Pryority Funeral Home located at 12025 Bammel North Houston, Houston, Texas 77066 between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. and Thursday 15 June 2017 from 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.; the phone number is 281.586.2009.
