Septmber 2003 A memorial service was held for Glenn Nehrkorn, 53, on Thursday, September 25, 2003 at the Seaside Memorial Park and Funeral Home in Corpus Christi. Glenn returned to the place he loved most, burial being at sea. Mr. Nehrkorn was born January 24, 1950 in Bellville, Texas to Alburney and Evelyn Goeke Nehrkorn. Glenn attended school in Bellville graduating from Bellville High School in 1968. Mr. Nehrkorn then attended Blinn College in Brenham before transferring to The University of Houston. In the early 1970's Mr. Nehrkorn moved to Corpus Christi and became a marine chemist. He was the owner and operator of Marine Inspectors, and he devoted the majority of his time and energy to this occupation that he loved. Glenn Nehrkorn passed away Sunday, September 20, 2003 at Memorial Hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas. He is survived by his wife Debbie Nehrkorn of Corpus Christi, sons Craig Nehrkorn and Jamie Nehrkorn of Austin, mother Evelyn Goeke Nehrkorn of Bellville, sister Cynthia Nehrkorn Heffner of Bellville, nephew Duane Heffner of Houston and many wonderful family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and father, Alburney Nehrkorn. At the family's request, memorials may be made to the St. John's Lutheran Church of Bellville, Texas in Mr. Nehrkorn's name. Posted by Joy Neely |
