The Rev. Wm. Feller of Cat Spring officiated at funeral rites for Mrs. Otto Uhlig, 98 at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 19, from the Pete E. Etlinger funeral home in Bellville.
Interment was at the CAT SPRING CEMETERY aka Kollatschny cemetery, Cat Spring with Larry Uhlig, Reuben Kveton, Clyde Froebel, Raymond Ladig, Robert Uhlig and Norman Buchtien serving as pallbearers. Mrs. Uhlig died at Bellville Hospital Friday at 11:45 a.m. following almost five years of declining health. She was well known and deeply loved by many friends. The former Miss Adelheid Froebel, she was born at Cat Spring January 30, 1859 a daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. August Froebel. She attended the Cat Spring school and was married to Mr. Uhlig January 18, 1900 at Cat Spring. Mr. Uhlig died September 5, 1957, since which time she made her home with her sons. Surviving are four sons, Edgar, Edmund, Leander, and Lester Uhlig of Bernardo; one grandson, Alan, and one great-grandaughter, Dyanna Uhlig. Also preceding her in death were four sisters, two brothers, and one grandson. Posted by Verna McDowell |
