Ann Alsobrook, 77, of Cat Spring, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015. Ann was born in Corpus Christi on Nov. 14, 1937 to Ivan and Inez Alexander. She married Bobby G. Alsobrook whom she met at Texas A&I University in Kingsville while attending college on Sep. 20, 1957. Ann was a very proud native Texan, enthusiastic volunteer with the Republican Party and an avid proponent for the arts. She is survived by her son, Bobby Alsobrook II and wife, Tanya, of Lake Charles, La.; daughter Glennann Wiggins and husband, Albert, of Bellville; six grandchildren: Lindsay, Christopher, Leslie, Samantha, Gerold, and Peggy; 10 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Ann loved painting and decorating, but her greatest ambition was to see the world. Travel was her hobby; when one trip was finished she started planning the next trip. A casual memorial service will be held at the Bellville United Methodist Church Saturday, Feb. 21 at 5 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
