Genowefa Regina Bartnik, 82, of Bellville, Texas passed away at her residence with her family by her side. Genowefa was born on April 27, 1930, in Zakrzew, Poland to Wojciech Maczka and Marianna (Zareba) Maczka. She married Jan Bartnik on December 22, 1949 in Zakrzew, Poland. She completed school in Poland and worked at farming most of her life. She is survived by her daughter Krystyna Krol and her husband Jerry of Bellville, Texas; son Wieslaw Bartnik and his wife Halinda; brothers Josef Maczka and Edward Maczka and his wife Irena; grandchildren Bogdan Bartnik, Angnieszka Bartnik, Regina Krol, Peter Krol and Michael Krol and cousin Zbigniew Krason. Genowefa was predeceased by her parents and her husband Jan Bartnik. A Funeral Mass celebrating her life was held in the Targowisko Catholic Church and burial followed in the Targowisko Cemetery in Poland. The family expresses special thanks to Ft. Tim Bucek and Parish members of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Bellville, Texas, Dr. Welton E. Hill, M.D., Bellville Hospital nurses and staff and staff from Hospice of Brazos Valley, friends of the Krol family and Knesek Bros Funeral Chapel for all of their help.
