Jo Ann Blezinger, 82 of Industry, passed away on April 13, 2020. Jo Ann Grebe Blezinger was born on October 3, 1937 in Shelby, Texas to parents, Fred and Myrtle Grebe. She attended and graduated from Fayetteville High School and received her Associate's Degree from Blinn College.
Jo Ann met Clinton Blezinger at a dance in Welcome, Texas. They were married at Welcome Lutheran Church on April 6, 1956, and were blessed with 64 years of marriage. She was a Houston Chronicle rural paper carrier, worked at the Industry Telephone Company, and then at the family business, Blezinger's, Inc. She was a member of the Welcome Lutheran Church where she sang in the choir, Industry Fireman's Ladies Auxiliary, Industry Lioness Club where she held several offices, especially the office of secretary for many years. Jo Ann enjoyed dancing to polkas and waltzes, reading, crocheting, growing African Violets, collecting cookbooks, traveling to many parts of the world when Clinton was Lions Club District Governor, and spending time with her family. Jo Ann is survived by her husband, Clinton; sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Linda, Greg and Brenda, Scott and Pat; grandchildren, Cameron, Jill, and Garner Blezinger, Wyatt and Bailey Blezinger, Nicole and Matt Bettis, Ross Blezinger and special friend, Sheila Spacek; and great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Landri, and Kyndal Lanae Bettis. Memorials may be made to Welcome Lutheran Church, Texas Lions Camp, Hospice Brazos Valley or an organization of your choice. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Knesek Family Funeral Chapel and are pending at this time. |
