John David Brown, 66, of Sealy, Texas, passed away on Friday, December 28, 2018. He was born August 29, 1952 to John William Brown and Florence Mae (Roensch) Jurajda in Weimar, Texas. He married Patricia Esterak on October 4, 1975. They were owners of Century 21 Real Estate Co.John David before retiring was an employee of the State of Texas Prison Luther Unit as a guard, EMS for Austin Co. and Colorado Co., and Sealy Volunteer Fire Department.
John David is survived by his parents, mother, Florence Roensch Jurajda, and stepfather, William Jurajda, of Columbus, TX; father, John William Brown, and stepmother, Anita Brown, of Whitney, TX; brothers, Billy, wife Kay, of Columbus, TX, Thomas, wife, Vicki, of Katy, TX, Kenneth, wife, Donna, of Sealy, TX; and sister, Susan Leschper, husband, Andrew, of Sealy, TX; numerous nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephew, brother-in-law, Benny Stancik of Sealy. He is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Esterak Brown; grandparents, Willie & Alma Roensch, Edward & Mammie Brown; close friend, Billy Teague of Eagle Lake, TX. Memorials may be made in John David Brown's name to American Diabetes Associations, 2400 Augusta Dr., Suite 175, Houston, TX 77057-4989. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, January 1, 2019, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Knesek Bros. Funeral Chapel, 1140 Meyer Street, Sealy, Texas. A rosary will begin at 5:00 PM. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2019, at 10:00 AM at Knesek Bros. Funeral Chapel. A graveside service will follow at 11:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery, 811 Main Street in Sealy. |
