Nina Usovic, a beautiful baby girl was born on February 19, 1930 in the Uznazh Village, of the Gomel Region in Belarus, USSR; to her late parents, Kirill and Anastasia Usovic. Nina’s family and friends called her Ninochka, Vidatnitsa, Atlichnitsa and babushok.

Nina grew up in the Uznazh Village of the Gomel Region and went to elementary school in Uznazh, middle school in Sosnovy Bor, and graduated from Mozyr (Belarus) with a high degree in nursing. Nina’s field of nursing was delivering babies or as a midwife. She studied more and became an assistant of a surgeon in Mozyr Hospital, the head of the department called her “my right hand.”

In 1957 she married the love of her life, Biryukov Victor Mihailovich. They were blessed with four daughters and one son.

Nina's dream was to give a higher education to her children, and later on she has done so. She was always a member of the Christian Orthodox Church.

Nina worked many years delivering babies in her community and surrounding villages. She loved nature and animals; she took great pleasure in observing deer and squirrels at the family ranch. In her quiet time, Nina would take walks in the forest, hunting mushrooms and collecting herbs. She was always cooking fresh food for her family and friends using the vegetables and fruits she collected from her garden. And on a few occasions, she would have small dinner parties for special family and friends. She just loved to cook and gather her loved ones all together.

In March of 2021, Nina moved to the United States to be closer to her family.

She enjoyed taking care of her children, grandchildren, great -grandchildren and even helped raise her great-great-granddaughter. Nina was truly a ray of sunshine. She also loved listening to music and singing her favorite songs of folk and country; watching her movies of detective episodes.

Family members who preceded her death are her parents, brother and sisters.

Nina leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. She will be deeply missed by her four daughters: Maria and her husband Aleksey; Lidia and her husband Kenneth; Olga and her husband Evgeniy; her daughter Zhanna and one son, Andrey and his wife Marina; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. In addition to her immediate family, Nina leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and other loving relatives and friends. Her warm smile, kind heart, and gentle spirit touched the lives of all who knew her. Nina will be dearly missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her
