2024
Your presence we miss. Your memory we treasure. Loving you always. Forgetting you never.

Betty Ann Pacher, 82, of Bellville, Texas, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 21, 2024.

Betty was born on March 28, 1941, in Bellville, Texas, the daughter of Ernst and Leverna (Gaskamp) Muery. Betty was baptized on June 22, 1941, and confirmed on April 3, 1955, at St. John Lutheran Church in Bellville, Texas, where she remained a life-long, active member. She grew up and attended schools in Bellville, graduating from Bellville High School in 1959. She played basketball and softball, was a member of and the Public Relations Chairman for the Future Homemakers of America, played the saxophone and served as the Secretary for the Bellville High School Band, and was the BHS Class of 1959 Secretary, where she continued after graduation to help plan numerous class reunions. After graduating high school, she attended Blinn College, in Brenham, Texas.

On March 26, 1961, Betty was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, A. C. Pacher, at St. John Lutheran Church in Bellville, Texas. She was the secretary for the Austin County Judge and became the legal secretary for W. I. Hill, in Bellville for many years. While working for Mr. Hill, you could always find her at Pacher’s Exxon Service Station taking care of the banking and greeting customers during her lunch hour. She continued her career as a bank teller at Guaranty Bank in Bellville, retiring in 2006. In her spare time, Betty enjoyed sewing, reading, tending to her plants, teaching and leading the Sunday School Children’s sing-along, volunteering with Cancer Angels, singing in the church choir, dancing on Saturday nights, leading the Grand March at many weddings, and enjoying her time watching the hummingbirds at the lakehouse. She also enjoyed traveling on cruises, trips to Louisiana, vacations to Branson, Missouri, and spending time with family and friends entertaining at the lakehouse. Betty spent many hours after the girls were asleep sewing their dresses late into the night and later sewing and quilting the senior dedication blankets for each of her grandchildren. But above all this, she loved and adored her four grandchildren. You could always find her in the stands, watching and cheering her children and grandchildren as they participated in all of their activities. She always did what she could to support her loved ones.

Betty is survived by her loving husband of 62 years: A. C. Pacher of Bellville; daughter Pamela and husband Michael Ondruch of Houston, Texas; daughter Sandra and husband Bryce Froebel of Bellville, Texas; daughter Linda and husband Mike Wheeler of Bellville, Texas; and four grandchildren, Alyssa Froebel, Kayla Froebel, Emma Wheeler, and Aidan Wheeler, all of Bellville, Texas. And numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents: Ernst and Leverna Muery; and in-laws, Adolph and Emma Pacher.

The family is very grateful for the caring staff of Bellville Hospital, Colonial Living and Rehabilitation of Bellville, and ACARA Hospice.

Visitation is from 10 to 11 on January 25, 2024, at St. John Lutheran Church, 520 North Holland in Bellville, TX.
