Georgie was born and raised in the East Bernard area. She attended Holy Cross Catholic School and then went on to the East Bernard Public school. She loved country music and dancing to the jukebox at her mother’s diner. There was a song called “Tippi” and every time it played she would jump up and dance around to the music which earned her the nickname “Tippi”. She married Bennie Orsak in 1956 and they had six children together. Her children were her life. She loved when her oldest son Ronnie and his family would take her and the family to Lake Somerville during the 4th of July Holiday. Riding in the boat and playing in the sun with her children and grandchildren made her day. Her second born son, Benjamin played quarterback on the Brahma foot ball team. She made the entire football team hamburgers every Friday night when she owned and operated the Brahma Dairy Mart. She really loved going with her daughters, Shirley and Debra, and her son Bernard, to Louisiana to have a good time.

She worked at Foodtown and the Hilltop Café in Kendleton for many years and various other places in East Bernard. She loved listening to country music especially the song “Wasted Days and Wasted Nights” by Freddie Fender. But her favorite singer was Elvis Presley who she actually got Bennie, her husband, to take her to see in person at a live concert in Louisiana. That was her fondest memory of seeing “The King” in person. Towards the end, she became a resident at Arbor Hills in Eagle Lake. She loved when her daughter Sandra would push her all over the facility to visit with friends. Every child had a different day that they would spend with her including Dennis her son-in-law who was her Thursday Bingo Buddy. God Bless and Fly High sweet Angel our “Tippi Too”!
