Dorothy Rosalie Marik Pustka of Wallis, TX, peacefully passed away on February 15th at 8:57 pm surrounded by loved ones.
Dorothy was born on July 30, 1938, to Joe and Adella Marik in East Bernard, TX. Dorothy met Ignac Pustka, Jr in Mentz, TX at the church bazaar. Ignac and Dorothy went on to have four children, Donald, Jeannette, Diana, and James. Dorothy spent years farming beside her husband. Much later in life she worked for a short time in the cafeteria for East Bernard and Brazos ISD. While retired, Dorothy loved to travel. She enjoyed accompanying her family and grandchildren on a variety of road trips, vacations to other states including Hawaii and Alaska, and she sailed on many cruises to other countries. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Ignac Pustka, Jr and two of her children, Donald Pustka, and Jeannette Bell. She is survived by her youngest daughter and son, Diana Garner and James Pustka, as well as all her grandchildren, Cassey Wood, Haydon Pustka, Haleigh Blount, Caty Bell, Ian Garner, Evan Garner, John Bell, Corey Doleji, Stephanie Winkler, and Jodi Doleji. Services will be held at Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Wallis, Texas on Thursday, February 22nd starting at 9:00am for viewing and family visitation, followed by the Rosary, then a short Mass, followed by burial proceedings at the Guardian Angel Catholic Church Cemetery. |
