Resendez, Manuel Jr
Obituary
2024
Manuel Resendez, age 68, passed away on March 10, 2024, in Katy, Texas.

A man beloved by those around him, he was born on March 20, 1955, to Manuel Sr. and Francis Resendez of Nada, Texas. He was always a hard-working family man, who was mechanically inclined, which drove him to start his own business. In 1988 Manuel's Lawn Mowers emerged, a haven where his love for small engines and his knack for restoration converged into a sanctuary of craftsmanship and reliability and the occasional card game. Manuel was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Immaculate Conception Church.

Manuel was known for being the life of the party, his love of Polka music, and being the Grill Master. He was part of the BBQ grill team for the parish bazaar. He hosted his family's Easter and Thanksgiving gatherings, always bringing a smile to everyone's face with his humor and wit. His easy-going nature and ability to bring joy to those around him will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.

He was the beloved husband of Diane, and cherished father to Nicholas, Ashley, Lindsey, Ashley and Charlie. Manuel was a loving grandfather to Tyler Resendez, Marissa Resendez, Acelynn Jackson, AJ Jackson, Anthony Jackson, Abbie Jackson, Adrian Jackson, Andrew Jackson, Ryan Garcia, Brooklynn Brandes, Lili Aguilar, and Maddie Aguilar. He is survived by his brother and six sisters. Bea, Rosie, Lydia, Louis, Louisa, Mary, and Lisa. He will be deeply missed by his family.

He is preceded in death by his sons Nicholas and Charlie. As well as his dad Manuel Resendez, and his mother and father-in-law Joe and Henrietta Rychlik. Manuel's presence at family gatherings and his role as the glue that kept everyone together during the holidays will be greatly missed.

As we mourn the loss of a devoted husband, a loving father, dear friend and a pillar of strength, let us take solace in the countless lives he enriched and the profound legacy he leaves behind. Though he may no longer walk among us, his spirit will forever illuminate our hearts, guiding us through our lives with the same unwavering determination that defined his existence.
